well i think there are wrong and right things that we can do to help the environment...but that many things are beyond our control. i think that many things that happen in the world, such as climate change and ozone, are just nature's ups and downs....and that things vary on a cycle...many heating and cooling events taking place after natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, sun spots, and desert sand storms (which put particulate matter under 2.5 microns into the jet stream that get sucked into our lungs) but man made disasters such as oil spills and the bopal india gas leak can and should be be controlled. i think conserving forests and endangered species of animals is important and is something MAN can try to control.
so i guess i can say that we need to use common sense because what we dump/emit does eventually end up in our air and water...and the forests, trees, and animals we destroy are important... oh and in WAR also, destroying each other for the love or power and oil is crazy.....so in some cases, yes, i think some of the future is in our hands.

i think that to...but the message "the world is in our hands" says too many things and it kind of ignores unespected reactions of the nature that's why i don't really agree with it :D
